.XXX is not supported by the adult entertainment industry
I have been an adult webaster for nearly 10 years. Let me start of by saying I am completely opposed to the .XXX extention. I would like to point out to ICANN's board that not one single adult entertainment company big or small has publically stated any level of support for the creation of the .XXX extention. ICM Registry has previously claimed to have written support from "24 major suppliers of adult online content". Not one of these "24 major suppliers" has ever identified themselves publically or made any public statement in support of .XXX Since these documents are being construed as comprising a "sponsoring community" for this TLD I call on ICANN and ICM Regsitry to make these documents available for public scrutiny and public record before any vote is held. These companies that are remaining anonymous do so for a very good reason; they fear damage to their reputation and to their business. This in itself should speak volumes to ICANN's board as to the level of tangible support for this extention from the majority of the adult entertainment industry. Further to this, Stuart Lawley of ICM Registry has recently claimed to have written support for this extention from over 1500 webmasters in over 70 countries. I again call on ICM Regsitry and ICANN to make any such documents available for public scrutiny in order for any such statement to be considered.
