Dear ICANN members,
I am writing to ask you to oppose the .xxx domain proposal that is coming up
for vote on March 9th.
.xxx will not protect children from access to porn. There will always
international countries that will allow for porn on mainstream TLD's,
thereby defeating the purpose of restricting an entire industry to a
particular TLD. If a TLD to protect kids was necessary, such a goal could
be better achieved by making a child-friendly TLD like .kid -- there is far
more than porn on the internet that children need protection from.
Please OPPOSE the .xxx domain proposal - it does not benefit the internet or
children, and is poised to pave the way for censorship.
Sincerely,
Emily Robbins
