Adult Webmaster Opposes

Hello,

 

I am a webmaster in the adult industry. I will keep this short and sweet,
and pray that it gets read instead of canned. There are many negative side
effects to the .xxx proposition that far outweigh any positive ones. The
amount of revenue and tax dollars alone that will be lost because of the
added expense for webmasters to register domains will close a lot of
independent business operations down. A vast majority of adult webmasters
are members of organizations to prevent child pornography and the accidental
viewing of adult images to minors. We're not here to hurt anyone, only run
legitimate businesses and exercise our first amendment rights. The .XXX
proposal is a detriment to our business and will only hurt the on going
battle of preventing children viewing adult websites. Please read, I oppose
propositions .XXX.
