.xxx opposition letter from AVN

To Whom It May Concern,

I am the owner of AVN Media Network, which publishes the leading adult video
and online trade magazines, Adult Video News (AVN) and AVN Online. These
magazines are read and respected throughout the adult video retail and adult
online community.

When the idea was first presented to us, AVN had offered support for the
concept of a .xxx top level domain, but after discussing the concept with
many of the leaders of the adult video and Internet communities, we have
concluded that there is little support within the adult community for the
.xxx domain, and we ourselves are strongly opposed to the creation of a .xxx
domain.
