Dear Sirs,
I see that once again we're being asked to comment on ICM's scheme to shake
down webmasters, businesses and domain owners.
Please, reject this so-called proposal once and for all allready!
I am a gay webmaster with a number of adult and non-adult sites as well as a
gay site that is more mainstream in nature.
I fear that my gay mainstream site would also be corralled into this .xxx
ghetto. I also fear that all of my sites would require protection by anteing up
the .xxx fee which is more than the going market price for a domain name. That
is, if I was able to secure them. Its not clear whether or not I would. As I'm
very small fry I couldn't even begin to duke it out with lawyers fees.
I also feel that a self-appointed organization, (specifically in this case
ICM/IFFOR), has no place or right to tell me how I may use my domains or what
content is acceptable, or whether what I do is deceptive or not, including how
I optimize my sites and what I may put in my meta-tags.
Allowing this organization to do so violates my rights and privileges to free
speech.
Please reject this specific proposal from ICM/IFFOR and do not allow any more
proposals for a .XXX domain scheme.
Thank you for your time,
robin
