I am a webmaster and producer involved in creating professional adult
entertainment content for and by consenting adults, and I am writing to
state my very strong opposition to the proposed .xxx TLD for the following
reasons, among others:

-- It unfairly tries to create a different standard for adult-oriented
sites, by forcing the .xxx TLD.

-- ICM has made a false argument that there is need for this TLD to create a
responsible online community, when in fact, responsible adult producers
already have such a means to conduct their businesses responsibly by
properly labeling pages to prevent access to minors and others who do not
wish to view it, and by being a member of the Free Speech Coalition

-- Some companies who are OPPOSED to the xxx TLD have apparently already
purchased domain names with the xxx extension...and by ICM's own definition,
these companies are not eligible to own such TLD's because they do not
voluntarily agree to the rules of such (proving the system is already
flawed).

-- I am also concerned with the lack of transparency surrounding ICM's
submissions and the omission of IFFOR board members and others who would
develop regulations for the adult industry. Moreover, if this TLD is
approved, adult businesses would be required to consent to rules, policies
and practices not yet developed by boards or persons not yet known!

-- Moreover, the information and time for public comment is lacking. We
require more information about the application to provide proper feedback,
and we request that all such information be provided, followed by a minimum
of 60 days for additional public comment.

This is an unfair move to try and create an adult "ghetto" on the internet,
unfairly impacting perfectly legal businesses which are run for and by
consenting adults.
