Dear ICANN,
As a professional in the adult industry for the past 14 years, I am writing to
inform you that I strongly oppose .XXX. It will serve no benefit to anyone
other than those who stand to profit from its sales. It will however, create an
unneeded burden on the industry and force all of us to spend more money to
purchase these domains to protect our brands.

This will not protect children and only line the pockets of those involved with
money. If you want to protect children, you can implement .KIDS as a TLD, and
parents (remember those?) can use a filter on their computer to only allow
access to this safe TLD. Not only will filtering out .XXX not work to protect
anyone, it will be easy to abuse this TLD and potentially force unfair rules
and regulations on those of us who own them.

The rest of the adult industry also strongly opposes .XXX. Only those who will
profit from the actual sales of the TLD approve, as this will be a new land
rush for them. Please do not be fooled by their reasons for supporting . XXX,
as it is only for monetary gain, not for the protection of children or the
welfare of the adult industry.

Regards,
D. Reed
