if the goal is really to protect children

If the goal is really to protect children on the internet, why not 
create extensions specifically for them, such as .kids, .youth, etc.?  
It would give them a haven all their own on the internet, and it would 
be easier to police than .xxx.  Instead of letting someone with vested 
personal interests control what kind of sites should use the .xxx 
extension, a group could be formed to choose sites that would be 
ALLOWED to use .kids, or a extension for youths only.

.xxx will only hurt Free Speech and do nothing to protect children, 
please consider creating something FOR kids, instead of something NOT 
for kids.  .kids would be a great extension.
