To whom it may concern,
I oppose any decision to force adult related webmasters to use the dot triple
x domain extension.
This will would not serve any real purpose except to drive thousands of hard
working people out of business and create a vacuum that would allow large
corporations to monopolize the adult entertainment industry.
There are many webmaster that have well established adult sites that would be
virtually wiped out if this were to happen. Businesses that have taken years to
build would have to start over over from scratch because of the enormous amount
of search engine traffic and visitors that would be lost.
Most adult webmasters are responsible hard working individuals that are
equally concerned with minors having access to adult site.
However, I do not believe that this move would be the answer to protecting
minors from adult related material. In all actually it may even have the
opposite effect and allow minors to locate adult related material even easier,
simply by typing in any name along with the .xxx extension or by searching the
web with .xxx as the search term.
Please decide against forcing all adult sites to use the .xxx extension.
Thanks
P. Williams
