1 Following the Paris Intersessional, the principal alternative text of Paragraph 44 reflects work undertaken in the WG established by Intersessional Chairperson Lyndall Shope-Mafole (a Commissioner with the Presidential National Commission on Information Society and Development) under the chairmanship of Francis Wangussi of CCK.

See # 44, # 44 alternative 1, #44 alternative 2 and the full text of the Draft Declaration attached

2 The Participants in PrepCom 3 in Geneva, between 15 and 19 September will be revisiting the full text in Sub-Committee 2, throughout the week. As recognised by The ICC led <Coordinating Committee of Business Interlocutors (CCBI)> , the primary and formal work products of the Geneva Summit in December should be (1) a Declaration of Principles, and (2) an Action Plan. Paragraph 44 will be re-negotiated in Switzerland.
