1 Following the Paris Intersessional, the principal alternative text of
Paragraph 44 reflects work undertaken in the WG established by
Intersessional Chairperson Lyndall Shope-Mafole (a Commissioner with the
Presidential National Commission on Information Society and Development)
under the chairmanship of Francis Wangussi of CCK.

Draft Declaration attached
2 The Participants in PrepCom 3 in Geneva, between 15 and 19 September
will be revisiting the full text in Sub-Committee 2, throughout the week.
As recognised by The ICC led <Coordinating Committee of Business
Interlocutors (CCBI)> , the primary and formal work products of the Geneva
Summit in December should be (1) a Declaration of Principles, and (2) an
Action Plan. Paragraph 44 will be re-negotiated in Switzerland.

Intersessional on <Technical Co-ordination of the Internet naming and
