[hans-memorial] In appreciation of the life of Hans Kraaijenbrink
It is with much sadness the CENTR community learnt of the passing of Hans. Many of us have known Hans professionally during his term as a member of ETNO and ICANN's Board of Directors. Some of also had the pleasure of knowing him socially, in more informal settings. Whether in the professional or social environment, Hans was a true gentleman who was determined to do what he thought was right. Some may have agreed with his position, others may not, but one shinning quality he brought to every situation was his determination and amiable personal manner. Having had the privilege of knowing Hans as a friend and on some occasions sparring partner, the loss of his friendship, the loss of his dedication, the loss of the wisdom and his perspective on life makes us all the poorer. Our thoughts are with his family at this time of great loss and we thank them for allowing Hans to share his vision with so many of us. Paul M.
