Presently .US is used for the United States - (.FED, .MIL, .GOV are or are preferred USA federal government) - and other countries similarly.

We've been separating the government from the people:
I think we should reverse this trend on the internet:

I'm suggesting that the proper domainname of the USPS United States Postal Service should be PS.US for every p-mail recipient in the USA. And similarly for every country: it should be easy to p-mail people.

The US Post Office will then develop a generalized addressing routine that can find any reasonably addressed individual person or company, eg. shall be as readily found as Total flexibility!

I'd like to see these short domain names retained, and get more use.
