This topic was discussed at great lenght on Off-topic forum.  There was overwhelming consensus that Sunrise Period gave unfair advantage to TM/SM holders at the cost of all other Internet stakeholders.  But, it seems ICANN and Affilias just don't bother about public opinion.  How this policy of giving first shot to favoured segment of the society is going to help the basic purpose of introducing new gTLD?  It was claimed that there was need for new TLDs because .com domain space had become saturated and there was dearth of good names.  Does anyone seriously believe that any good name/generic name will be left out at the end of Sunrise Period!  Sunrise Period, particularly in case of .info TLD, is nothing but organized usurpation of cyberspace.
