One story at:

I believe the following is demonstrably true:

.BIZ was used to cause conflict - to delay introduction of new TLDs.

ICANN and predecessors have deliberately delayed the introduction of new TLDs, to protect the trademark lobby - since the beginning of the Internet.

No business could cause the mess ICANN have, without it being deliberate - no other business is so grossly incompetent (without going under).

The original .BIZ should have been let in and only unused TLD allowed by new companies.

Only restricted TLDs should be treated differently - ie. to avoid disputes, guarantee source of domain (.car .actor etc.)

The most needed TLD is .REG - to stop trademark problems: name.class.country.reg
