Subject: A reasonable solution to the conflicting TLD's.

All current so-called registries with conflicting claims to TLD's should create a single joint-venture registry for the TLD in conflict.  (Then they would all share the revenue.)

Designate a date in the near future, say July 1, 2001, for automatic expiration of existing domains in those conflicting TLD's (and require pro-rata refunds to those registrants).

Set that date as the beginning of new registrations of domains in those TLD's.  The new registrations would be first-come first served.  Invalidate all pre-registrations.

Prohibit registries from owning domains.
Prohibit registrars from reselling domains at more than a 100% markup to their costs.  (This would not restrict domain brokers.)
