Subject:	Why the delay?

Interesting responses, but my original post began with "Is there any official word from ICANN, etc. . . .".  What I'm asking is really whether my impression is correct that ICANN and DNSO have said NOTHING at all about new gTLDs in the last several months, or am I just looking in the wrong places and they have at least suggested a reason for delaying? What has ICANN said since November?  Nothing?
