I've got punkpage.net for over a year now, but I'm not
a network. :) It's just an extension that originally stands for network. But that
doesn't mean that you have to be a network in order to register a .net domain. Most
of the .net-sites have nothing to do with network. They're just sites that couldn't
get a .com becouse thatone was already taken, or don't want a .com, like my Punk
Page which doesn't belong in the .com area becouse .com is USA Commercial, which
it isn't, and it doesn't belong to .org either becouse it just isn't non-profit enough
in my opinion. Most of the .nets that I know are in the same situation. Another good
example is squat.net (a squatters site).
