It could make logical strategic development impossible - depending on what TLD are already taken. I would like to see many thousands of new TLD. For those that object - as I said before: Analogy - What sort of world would it be if we only had two hundred or so towns - each allowed only one High Street (Americans may call it Main Street)? That is the current situation. How many towns in the USA? Analogy - You may go to only a few towns - but others may want to go elsewhere - especially those from different countries and ethnic backgrounds. I also advocate some restricted TLD, (amongst other things) for trademarks - to be used for advertising and marketing: e.g. Nissan.car
