This supposed lottery, where
you can spend hundreds of dollars buying "tickets" in order to increase you chances
of getting the .biz domain is similar to blackmail. Not to mention there is
no guarantee that you will get the domain name, and the dollars spent on the
"lottery" don't necessarily apply to the purchase price! (if you buy more than $66
worth of "tickets"). Network Solutions
(among others) simply wants to gouge domain name investors with this harmfull, casino
style lottery. This is just another example of how helpless ICANN is to big business,
and how useless and harmfull ICANN is to smaller business entities (which
make up probably 90% of the true business world!).
Aren't they supposed to be protecting consumers from this kind
of activity?
