Subject: From bad to worse...

I think the best way to describe it is that the sunrise procedure was unfair to begin with -- too many generic words have trademark status with somebody somewhere -- but it was turned from bad to completely intolerable by the overwhelming prevalence of fraudulent "trademark" citations.  I don't know how they're going to fix this... who's going to spend the money to challenge every one of the fraudulent registrations, given that the challenger (if he's not a trademark holder himself) won't even end up with the domain after it finishes?
