If you own a "legitimate" trademark you can request a
domain be put on hold if you think someone is "sitting" on it. After you provide
adequate documention of TM ownership. THIS would cut down on the fiasco that
is happening right now. Afilias themselves said it would be impossible
to track trademarks from every country. This was foretold in many of the board
disscussions. No one listened. Well, if I may be frank. Listen
to someone who has been in the business awhile: Image Online Design.
Gregory BTW: I do not speak for Image Online Design. This is my
interpretation (after reading their application)of their "visionary" way to deal
with trademark protection.
