Replace This Scam With Another!?! |

Its not a good idea and I'll tell you why. Have you noticed that roughly half the
ICANN accredited registrars are not participating in pre-registration of .info. Theres
money to be made in it...especially when you take multiple pre-regs for the same
name or charge $5 and up for a pre-reg. So why aren't these registrars taking advantage
of this money making opportunity? Well because they got a better way of milking the
system! What there going to do is submit there own very short (less than 1000 names,
perhaps 100 names or so) lists into the Land Rush. But these names will all be in
that of their employees, the owners relatives and friends, etc.. They stand to make
much more money securing very valuable names for themselves! This is the scam yet
waiting to happen. So don't be fooled with this "standby" proposal as being the solution...it
will just encourage one scam to be replaced by another! I believe Afilias has
already hinted at the remedy (let challenges take care of the problem and whatever
blatant fraud is left at the end of the Sunrise, Afilias will take care of it then).
They are already taking the right approach to this mess sparked by ICANN appeasing
the trademark lobby.
