Afilias is now going to check the apps? Why didn't they do that in the first place? Why don't they do that with all the apps instead of forcing good people to spend their money?! What incredible stupidity!

This is unbelieveably absurd. If they are going to check some of the apps themselves after the challenge process, why don't they check all the apps after the challenge process? This can save money. Why not scrap the challenge process due to gross fraud and simply check the apps? Like someone said - are they giving themselves a discount? Absolutely ludicrous.

What the heck has some registrars usinng a closed list (can we have some registrars namesthat are assumed to be doing this?) do with this bogus sunrise? Nothing at all. This closed list is a practically nonexistent problem compared to the sunrise fraud. Again we have people diverting attention from the real problem. 1 or two registrars having a closed list does not a scandal make. This can happen with any of the registrars but as most people who register around can tell you if you are first to get to a queue, you will get the names you want. A few registrars trying to register sex.info for themselves  will probably happen but this is a whole deifferent bag of apples from every generic and many non generic name being registered due to a grossly flawed sunrise policy.

The policy can't change? Nonsense. The whole registry can change. The policy makers were simply incompetent. The question is, when  will Icann realize its mistake?
