Bottomline is: this problem is much smaller in comparison to the problem of
wholesale hijacking of all generic names.Sorry, but I think you did not get the
point. No one suggests that Afilias starts charging more from trademark holders
to defend themselves from challenges. From where did you get this? Please
clarify. Sure, staff at WIPO have to be paid. But, this problem is Afilias
made. They are responsible for setting it right. Internet stakeholders
like you and me, and others have done their best to help find a solution. Afilias
can come out with some reasonable fee for startup registrant so that they could fulfill
their commitment to WIPO. But, first they should show they are willing to consider
legitimate demands of those who have lined up foer the startup period. Amar
