Subject: I have an idea how some domains could be released before the landrush...

Afilias could put out a statement to all those who "accidently" registered a domain during the Sunrise, that they can come clean by terminating their own registrations before the landrush. Heck you can do that with a dot com at any time.  Just submit a form to have the registration terminated.

Those registrants who "accidently" registered a dot info in the sunrise have certainly lost their registration money already, and to pay ($220 per domain) to be challenged for a name you're going to lose...Why not?  This way they might at least have a chance during the landrush.  If they choose not too, fine...they still lose the domain, and they MOST likely will not have first crack at the domain after the landrush.  If they do it, then the name could at least be returned to the pool ready in time for the day 1, 00:00.01 hrs.

How about this commonsense approach?  People love to come clean when there are no options...All someone has to do is give them that opportunity...

P.S THANKS "theinternetchallenge.com" I appreciate your efforts...We all do.  BTW:  He is asking for volunteers to look up more names.  IF you have time between now and this weekend...he is trying to shoot for 1000 names.  LET'S DO THIS FOR HIM!!!
