Well, not an actual trademarked name, but somebody did get dan.info with an apparently
bogus registration... the US trademark number cited here doesn't exist.
Note that this registration was through Verisign, and has quite a number of goofy
things -- Verisign put themselves as Admin Contact instead of the registrant, and
put "StreetAddress", "City", and "State" in the address fields instead of an actual
street address, city, and state. However, those things (which would usually
be good signs of a bogus registration) don't seem to mean anything one way or another
where Verisign is concerned, because I've looked up legitimate registrations (e.g.,
mensa.info) that were submitted by Verisign and have the same idiotic problems.
It seems that Verisign's .info registrar services are run by blithering idiots who
are incapable of making sure the address fields are filled out correctly, and who
improperly put themselves as all contacts instead of the registrant. This makes
it very hard to distinguish the bogus registrations from the legitimate ones, since
