Alas, the suggested fix to the crs/domebase proposal has some problems:1.
Not very elegant.
2. Under what contractual provision are registrars obligated
to program up a warning?
3. What of newcomers who have no idea what the
Sunrise controversy is about? Will they have any idea what this warning
means?
4. What about the newcomers who have been turned away for the past
24 days?
5. What about validly issued Sunrise registrations (which,
one would hope, make up at least 50% of what has been issued). The suggested
warning does not deal with this. Can't imagine a "preregister at your own risk
to valid trademark rights" warning. Seems rather inelegant (getting back to
point 1).
