When Afilias recovers the bogus registrations and runs
the Mini-LandRush early next year, those same registrars will always get a head-start
over everyone else. These guys have scripts that can fire hundreds of requests
for a single name every minute. Bottom line is nobody really stands a chance unless
ICANN makes it very expensive for them to cheat, and that we all know is not going
to happen. The point I've been trying to make for sometime now is that we are all
fretting about SunRise cheats when the real culprits are the bad-apple registrars.
I'm afraid we will end up freeing the chicken from the fox only to watch it get devoured
by the wolves!!!
