and everything to gain by accepting
DomeBose proposal:(1) They will save tons of money that would otherwise be spent
in challenging large number of sunrise registrations.
(2) Logistically,
it would be next to immpossible for them or for that matter any other single entity
to challenge all unqualified registrations.
(3) Since, large number of unqualified
registrations would remain unchallenged even after spending considerable part of
their limited resources, major part of Afilias' effort would be focused on putting
out fires rather than doing some constructive work for the promotion of .info domainspace.
(4)
By accepting DomeBose proposal, Afilias would re-gain the goodwill of Internet community
and extricate .info from mire of cotroversy.
It would sad if such a meaningful
and attractive extension is nipped in bud. It need not be.
