Between August 26 and 27th, I checked for the availability of the name brides.info
and the whois search confirmed its availability. I then proceeded to pre-register
the name through 4 registrars that also do a whois lookup before they accept any
names. It showed up as being available with all 4 of them.Today, after learning
that Sunrise is not over yet, I checked again and I found out that it was indeed
regsitered during Sunrise and not only that but the registration date was July 31st!!!!!

For the record the TM used above appears to be genuine
and in good order however I don't want to sound paranoid but one of two things has
happened here, either the whois search is malfunctioning for some names (can't see
how) or possibly someone is tampering (back-dating) some of those records.

anyone encountered anything similar?
