I do not think you realize it, but your distinction makes it clear that whoever owns
.info will use it for propaganda.You could not use [TyranicalCountry].info to
complain about the murder of their citizens, because the government will be using
to say what a nice place it is to have your holidays and spend all your money in.
Rather
than .info it will be used for .misinfo !
They could use [TyranicalCountry].[ccTLD]
for that.
Mind you - I suppose Firestone.info will be used to say what great tyres
they have - I doubt it will be used to talk about all the deaths they have been blamed
for.
Perhaps - if you believe in free speech - they should not be able to stop
you using this domain either.
But the United States Department of Commerce do not
believe in it - why should any honourable American citizen?
The U.S. media are
surely not pro-American - else they would report on the violation of First Amendment.
