Subject: percentage of registrar reserved vs. sunrise squatters

        Hi Paul,

Statistics are not everything, but I do have some stats on registrar reserved vs. sunrise squatters from my study of over 11,000 names.  I found 2.4% of names were registrar reserved, as compared to 15-25% sunrise squatters (started out around 50% before manual review chopped that in half).  I also searched for names that were reserved by registrars not using "registrar reserved" -- and did not find very many at all.  Based on these stats, I would guess that the problem (from the perspective of a Land Rush pre-registrant or the general public) of sunrise squatters is an order of magnitude larger than that of registrar reserved names.  As I mentioned earlier, I also think that it is clear that sunrise squatting is wrong, but honest folks may have differing opinions on the issue of registrar reserved.
