Your references to ICANN board meetings in Montevideo, remind me of the systemic
corruption which was allowed to flourish in the International Olympic Committee (IOC)under
the recently retired President - who like to be addressed as Your Excellency.There
seem to be parallels between the corrupt behaviour of some members of the IOC under
the former president and that which we are witnessing in ICANN at the moment.
The
former IOC behaved as though it was above the laws which govern the rest of us, and
set about establishing a culture more focused on what the Olympic movement could
do for them than what they could do for the Olympic movement.
They forgot the enormous
responsibilities they assumed when they accepted the enormous privilege of being
IOC members.
Like the corruption of the IOC - ICANN's too will be exposed - but
heaven help the .info Landrushers.
