Why doesn't Afilias just
rerun the sunrise applications through again now that the glitches are identified
and hopefully fixed. What kind of a screening process did Afilias use anyway?...a
dartboard? Spin the wheel? Pick a card? Oh yes, the fine "algorithm" method. What
the heck didn't it accept? The village idiot could spot an application that had no
trademark information. Cancel any registrations that are clearly facially defective
and do it quickly. Preferably before the landrush period. Unlike registrations obtained
with no trademark data, any registrations that were obtained with allegedly false
trademark information may have received a benefit obtained by fraud and possibly
violated criminal law(s). Prosecute! In a strange twist of fate here, Afilias maybe
a victim too. Boo Hoo Hoo. Let's also not let the facially defective registrations
distract attention from the big picture of alleged institutional monkey business.
