palmsprings.info was unavailable, then made available again so i registered it. Then I get the email saying it was taken. This happened after the Surise was supposed to be over; so they smoked me for $5 when the name was really never available to register. What I suspect is that the whole Sunrise Extension was so they could grab more names and backdate others. Names that were really pre-registered by someone else were allowed to still be slated as "available". Again, these are allegations, but reflect my experience.
