I think we are being too hard
on ourselves. It is not correct to suggest that this forum is not taken seriously.
If that were so, Afilias would not have posted their detailed response on this forum
as soon as it became apparent that all was not well with sunrise period. And,
there is this fabulous work done at TheInternetChallenge.com. Then there is
work done at DomeBase. For all we know this fiasco would not have come to surface
but for the work done on this forum. But, it is true that issue of pre-registrants
rights has not been resolved. So, where do we go from here. First, let's
keep this conversation alive. This is just a beginning. A lot has been done.
But, we have long way to go. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.
Some of us are good at their contacts with media. Some of us are good at producing
valuable data. Maybe, oneof us will come out with idea which will make it easier to
identify "false but facialy correct" registrations. TheInternetChallenge.com sounds
steadfast in its commitment. How many forums can boast of such constructive
dialogue and action! My friends, we have everything to gain and nothing to loose
by working on this issue. Amar
