Contry name to the government? ..NO! |

Who denied that governments have the right to protect the interests of their country
and citizens? Yes, they have the right as well as the responsibility. What is to
be reminded here is that governments already have appropriate and sufficient ways
and means to accomplish their mission. >"If someone has a domain called germany
and all they put on it are pictures of Hitler,"< [quoted] doesn't the German
governemnt have any other effective ways and means to deal with such defamatory action?
Is monopolising certain generic or geographic domain names the only, or the most,
effective alernative? Legitimate governments will have to fulfill their mission,
through legitimate ways and means, not through a monopoly of certain generic/geographic
names across TLD extensions. Just mobilizing as much resources as possible wouldn't
be the best policy for a GOOD government of a civilized nation.
