.biz IP Claims |

Of course, unlike in .info, an intellectual property claim does not guarantee that
the claimant will get the domain. You can still apply for a .biz domain despite
claims against it, though it probably means you'll have to survive a challenge from
the claimant(s) if you get the domain in the initial assignment. Still, if
you have credible plans to develop a site around a generic name in a way that doesn't
infringe on any trademark somebody might have on the word, you can probably win such
a challenge.
