Here's an email I just received from RegistrationTechnologies. The submission
of LandRush names seems to be delayed another few days, but it appears the LandRush
will still be over before October.Email:
"Greetings Customer:
We apologize
for sending you email without your prior consent. However, Afilias has made an important
change that will impact the status of your submission. It shall be our policy only
to send mailings to our customers when we have important information that directly
relates to them. We shall never use your email address for mass-marketing purposes.
Earlier
this evening, Afilias, the .INFO registry company, notified us that they are changing
the schedule of their "Landrush" start-up period. We have updated our web site
to reflect these changes at:
http://www.RegistrationTek.com
In summary, Afilias
has extended their deadline for accepting
submissions from September 18th to
September 21st at 11:59PM UTC (7:59PM EDT or 4:59PM PDT). Accordingly, Registration
Technologies, Inc., will continue accepting submissions from our customers until
at least September 20th at 11:59PM UTC (7:59PM EDT or 4:59PM PDT). We will stop accepting
submissions before Afilias does to ensure we have plenty of time to place all submissions.
If we have no difficulties, we may accept submissions several hours longer than currently
planned. If you have additional submissions you are planning
to place, we encourage
you to do so before September 20th at 11:59PM
UTC.
At this time, we have placed
all submissions possible with Afilias. We were unable to submit names to Afilias
that were already registered during the Sunrise period. We will be refunding any
submission fees paid for these names as per our policy, which is available on our
web site at:
http://www.RegistrationTek.com/policy.html
Soon, we will be sending
email to customers individually to explain the status of each of their submission
requests. For each name submitted, we will provide a unique "ROID" number issued
by Afilias and also the exact date and time the submission was made.
Currently,
Afilias plans to complete their processing and announce
domain name awards by
September 27th. We will forward this information to you as quickly as possible after
we receive it.
If you have any questions about this schedule change or anything
else, please feel free to email us at info@RegistrationTek.com and we will do our
best to assist you.
Thanks for your time and thanks again for your business!
