There is speculation that Gambia.info and other country domains linked to an organization called StrategicDomains.Com L.L.C. may really be part of an elaborate hoax designed to call attention to registration problems which occurred during a so-called "Sunrise Period" reserved for holders of trademarks. "Someone was really sleeping at the switch when these were processed". The domains show the word "none" instead of valid trademark data. "No reasonable person would believe these were credible attempts to register the domains". Although the invalid registrations are slated to be cancelled under a challenge procedure, "Afilias sure has egg on it's face over this".
