Afilias knew |

It would appear that by August 7, 2001 and perhaps earlier that Afilias was aware
that bogus TM registrations were becoming an issue. It would also seem reasonable
that Afilias should have advised at that time the "accredited" registrars to be on
the lookout for any applications that obviously did not meet meet sunrise criteria.
When I checked one of Lorenz's NONEsense domains, it seemed to have been processed
about August 17, 2001. This sure looks like Afilias was doing nothing about the problem...nothing,
except raking in the dough! Set-up? Yeah, I'd like to see Afilias set-up...in front
of a jury! I'd suggest they offer an apology real quick and cancel the obviously
invalid registrations pronto...otherwise their new motto might be: ".info, where
the defrauded applicants go for compensation".
