It looks to me that Afilias and ICANN set up the .info rollout in such a way to allow
the registrars to sit back "with a clear conscious" and watch the fraudulent applications
and their five years of registration fees stream in. Hell, with all the most popular
Landrush names taken by frauds in the Sunrise and there being a chance to sell all
those names again for a second Landrush - who but an ethical operator would
have stopped it!! I can't wait for the principals of ICANN and Afilias to face
a committee or jury and see them try to defend allegations of incompetence or fraud.
If Afilias continues to defend claims of its incompetence, then the money trail looks
like a pretty good motive to me - they had the opportunity and the means - 1, 2,
3 - guilty.
