Thanks for your opinions, guys.I have to say, the .biz system ('illegal lottery'
aside!) seems a more equitable one than .info.
What astonishes me is the thousands
of people who falsely claimed trademarks to generic names (paying $90 a pop) and
yet it won't make a difference to their chances of actually winning the name, just
stopping it if its an obvious violation (which one would assume is difficult to prove
in a case of a generic word).
Perhaps they thought that they could get a leg-up
by lying ? Quite ironically, it may even hinder their chances of successful registration
because another challenger could show that the registration was in 'bad faith' (i.e
they were claiming a TM they don't have).
