Why Afilias must answer in court for "Locking in" invalid names |
Message: |

Why do Afilias insist on "Locking in" names which are transparently ineligible? What
good reason is there for locking them in for 6 months when thousands were invalid
from the start? Why does Afilias not cancel and delete these names? Failure to
do so makes THEM negligent and liable (IMHO) for the damages and losses sustained
by honest Landrush customers who are deprived of their product by Afilias's inaction
and failure to take reasonable action to protect these customers (who are the victims
of Afilias's own process and its inflexibility). A court of law will shortly recognise
this. If Afilias has been requested to delete these transparently ineligible names
and declines to do so, it is THEM who should (IMHO) accept the liability when this
is brought to court.
