A particular registrar did not know that someone who registers a bogus Sunrise registration might be out $295 if challenged.  I was the one that pointed that out to him.  He patched me into a conference call with someone at Tucows to ask about this.  I am not in the habit of recording phone calls, but it would have been interesting to have a transcript of this conversation.  I think they also talked about whether Sunrise registrations would be checked or not.  Anyway, as a result of this call, the next e-mail from this registrar mentioned the possibility of a $295 challenge fee -- but noted that this would be a low probability because the challenger would not get a non-trademarked name.
