Sorry to tell you this, but an organization like ICANN is essential.

Nobody that has read more than two of my postings, would call me an ICANN creep. They better not!

You know the Internet is worldwide interconnection of individual networks - so if they all started bringing out their own TLD (say dot xxx) where would emails for tom@new.xxx go to?

Any work-arounds will only cause confussion.

I would replace ICANN - they are responsible for the mess that the Internet is in.

My logical opinion, is that this mis-management is due to their corrupt efforts for big business.
