Interesting article and serious questions about challenges ? |

According to the information in this article, if the
challenger wins, he gets the disputed name! It does not go back to the pool. It also
seems that the musical-chairs game outlined on Domebase.com is also the order of
the day. This raises a few big questions about Afilias' intentions with regards
to challenging fraudsters. -Is it true that the challenger gets the name? If that's
not the case shouldn't WIPO include a disclaimer to the effect? -We need
to understand what SPECIFIC criteria that Afilias will use to make that judgment. -How
much time they are affording themselves to finish their own challenges. Is this an
open ended process? -Are Landrush registrations also open for the same challenge
process? If so then what was the point of the Sunrise to begin with? Quite a few
questions and very little in terms of guidance from Afilias and we know what this
means more hard-earned-cash being wasted by confused customers. That is the one thing
I will admit Afilias has excelled at so far.
