“It’s not our intention to be a policeman and verify the integrity of the underlying
data,” Michael Palage in a quote to the Associated Press. “We’re identifying what
works, what doesn’t work and how to smooth the process out. We’re up to the task,
we’re going to sit there and make sure that the integrity of the process is upheld.”Palage
has a personal stake in the process, having written the sunrise registration procedure.
But
integrity........?
Tell that to people who have been defrauded
And I thought
one of their contractual obligations (along with their registrars) was that they
were MEANT to verify the eligibility of the data (at least in obvious elements such
as Trademark name, number and eligible dates being present!)
