This Christmas had been like no other, for this Christmas Santafilias had warned all the boys and girls that they would have to preregister all toys and all lumps of coal for $5 but they still probably would not get them. Some of Santafilias's helpers however said kids could maximise their chances of getting the toys they wanted by joining a short list of 200 kids for $3000. Toys/ coal up to the value of $100 only may be applied for. On Christmas Day, they all crept downstairs and found a note saying 'Christmas will be taking place after December 25 but we're not going to say when at this time.'Santas helpers whispered that it could be some time in the new year. Children were told that if they wanted to complain that a bad kid next door got some really cool presents, they would have to forfeight all their presents for next year, and they would not get the bad kid's presents anyway- they'd just get taken back by Santafilias.
