Reply from Moshe Fogel of Afilias today (one of the few Afilias officials I have found who has tried to be helpful)

"Hi,

Currently , there is a slight delay in publishing the .info start up results , and they are expected to sunday/monday.  No delay is currently announced to the real time registration.

Regards,

Moshe"

From an old email of 25 June I have an interesting response from him when I pointed out a registar UKreg was telling customers that trademark details were "optional" during the Sunrise period.

"...UKreg are misleading you and probably others.  The Sunrise period is opened to trademark (and service mark) holders ,to protect those rights before the public is allowed to register.  However , if you decide to provide  fraudulent details as if you were the trade mark holders , it will be checked after the name has been registered , using the dispute challenge process mechanism where every one
can challenge a sunrise domain name registrant to prove his trade mark
of the name.

Hope it was clear enough,

Regards,

Moshe Fogel
Afilias Ltd."
